On the 25th June, 2007, Hull received an unusually high amount of rainfall that led to
widespread flooding across the city and the surrounding area. Over the wider city region, over
10 000 properties were damaged impacting upon the livlihoods and well being of tens of
thousands of people. Following the floods, I was asked by Hull City Council to chair an
independent review into the flooding. Links to these reports can be found on the boxes to the
left or below.
Following the reports, there have been a series of other publications, from a wide variety of sources and these web pages have been set up to
provide a resource of information (reports, links, websites etc..) on the floods, their impacts and possible causes. The omission of any data or
reports is not intentional or intended to provide a biased overview. If you have information, reports, links etc.. that you would like to be linked
from this page, please do not hesitate to ask.
